More Greyhound News – Slovak KC Nat CAC show Bratislava 10 October
This show was held the day after the World Dog show, outside in terrible rain ! Nobody got any information that the show was held outdoors so completely wet and freezing we all tried to do our best…
19 Greyhounds were entered under Judge and Sighthound specialist Mr Michael Canalizio from the USA. Mr Canalizio later also judged the Sighthound group.

“Joyce” Ch SKYINGS EAGLED EYED EILA – 2 EXC in Champion class
After the Breed judging we decided to get warm and dry in the camper. Not sure we would like to return for the Groups later on, we just drove over the border to Austria and had a wonderful luch! When returning back into Slovakia again the rain finally had stopped and we decided anyway to go back to the showgrounds for the finals.
Monty did such a nice performance and managed to top the podium, beating such excellent dogs as the current #1 TOP DOG in Sweden, the elegant Saluki NORDUCH NV-07 Shiraz California Dreamin who was 2nd and the lovely American Afghan from the Polo’s kennel wich was placed 3rd!
We could not have been been more proud over our New World Champion!

Our young “Nikki” NICUZZA DEL TAVULIDDARO (co owned with her breeder Salvatore Tripoli) had a good day by winning the Open bitch class with CAC , Reserv CACIB , Vice WW’09, only beaten for Best Bitch by her aunt Ch Asia del Monte Alago.(Asia is the sister to Nikki’s famous father Ch Axel del Monte Alago) We send our big congratulations to Asia and her owner/breeder Paolo Poggio for winning the WORLD WINNER title 2009 and also BOB. (Asia is pictured with Paolo below).
It was also very nice to meet “Nikki’s” litter brothers ; from Russia , Napoleone, (now in “training camp” in Italy with Riccardo Minelli for the hunting trials) and from Portugal , Nicodemo , with his nice family and handler.
